Whether we reuse or redistribute products and residual materials outside the organisation depends on their quality and purpose. Indeed, maintenance is highly essential for either of these processes, as we aim to provide quality assurance.

If a product cannot be reused or redistributed as is, it is necessary to repurpose it. This means analysing the product’s individual parts to see what can be done. Depending on their condition, we have several options: refurbishing, remanufacturing, or recycling.

It is better to prevent than to react. While it is of the utmost importance to be adaptable and have critical thinking when it comes to solving unexpected problems, it is also vital to prioritise preventive measures. This minimises the risk of issues, malfunctioning equipment, and deviations from schedules.

Lack of usability and affected functionality are both manufacturing problems that appear from various failures. However, these can be prevented most of the time. For this reason, with our preventive maintenance measures, we aim to reduce such issues, maximise productivity, and improve the product’s lifespan.

For example, if the wheel of an office chair doesn’t function properly, other issues will follow. Putting a strain on this product to be able to move it will cause damage to its armrest or other essential parts. However, when this issue is identified early on, all the possible damages are entirely prevented.
